• My name is Jerome Jones Jr., a dedicated communications professional and former news anchor who has called Montgomery home for more than two decades. As a proud father of two children who attended MPS schools, I have been deeply invested in the stories of our community and the challenges we face in education. I have witnessed our schools navigate through difficult times, as well as remarkable successes.

I am running for the School Board in District 6 because I believe MPS is on the verge of realizing its full potential. Together, we can elevate MPS to become one of Alabama's premier school districts. Every child deserves access to quality education, a safe environment conducive to learning, great nutrition, outstanding teachers, and a variety of post-graduation opportunities. I am committed to working with City and County Leaders, parents, board members, administrators, educators, and students to make sure we have what we need for success. I ask for your vote on May 19, 2026. "Your voice, Our Schools.”

    Your Voice, Our Schools.

I say ‘Your voice, Our Schools’ because I truly believe the best ideas don’t just come from the boardroom, they also come from kitchens, pews, bleachers, and break rooms across District 6. My job is to listen, bring your concerns forward, and work with others to find solutions.

Together, we can create an environment where every student thrives, and our schools become a true reflection of the diverse and vibrant community we cherish. Your input will shape the future of education in our district.
